+ What a crazy week! Jensey and I just got back from a week of three weddings in three states across the US. (OR, TN, SC) This particular wedding was in Mud Island and the River Terrace in Memphis, TN. Alicia & Nick were such an easy couple to work with...thanks guys! :)

+ I promise we actually edit in bright colors too! I just like how the dark/sepia works so well with the walls and leading lines here.

the dark sepia really works with the expressions on their faces. and while they look none too happy, it's kind of nice to see a wedding photo look so serene every now and then :]

That's a hard one to answer, but the most important thing I can think of is to build a relationship. Don't treat the shoot as all business...spend some time before hand talking with them, getting to know them, building a trust. When it comes down to the actual shoot, make sure to keep communication open...make sure they're comfortable, see if they have any ideas they want to contribute, etc.

yeah it does actually. I notice I have a hard time connecting with models and giving direction. So thanks very much!
