+ I've been wanting to share this for so long now. Finally it's here! (ie, I finally got around to posting it!) As many of you know, this is Huckleberry Finn. He's doing his strong-dog pose atop a tree stump. It's a guilty pleasure taking so many photos of this dog, but you know...if I can get a handful to turn out like this, I'll be happy.

+ Technical: Lighting from a 550ex flash, aimed into the ground. Burned the sky, added warmth, cloned out dog collar and leash.

+ Enjoy!

Wonderful capture of him! He's really well posed for this sort of shot. Though, I'm not too happy with the blurred paws. Was that intentional or not meant to be so? Otherwise, really wondeful shot, especially the background. :hug:

Given the nature of optics, I didn't really have much of a choice. Shooting at f/8 gives a rather wide depth of field, hence his whole upper body being in focus. But since I was focused higher up, that's where the bulk of the focus is...and you see the sharpness drop off further towards his feet and tree stump. Oh well.

Actually, he's now the size of a fat cat. Stupid obese, dog.
