When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

+ This is the first of several shots from my "hiking" adventures the other day. Much like last year, I'd go out exploring the undeveloped forest/trails around campus. I guess, if anything, you'd call it "urban hiking" since I'm in the middle of town and a huge university campus is right next to me. Regardless of all that, though, I can spend 3 hours out there and never encounter another soul. It's wonderful.
+ This particular shot is of a yet-to-be-named lake that I came across. I'll give it a name sometime soon. (If someone else already has, too bad, it's now my lake.) This was one of three places I found that you could actually gain access to the lake. The other two were much smaller and made me feel like I was going to die. I.e., I was suspecting gators or snakes to jump out and welcome/bite me. + By the way, this was the first "hike" with the new camera. + No editing was done to this image. -- wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man. wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man! WACKY WAVING INFLATABLE ARM FLAILING TUBE MAN!!! My favorite aspect of this photo is how the light filters through the clouds. It's amazing. It doesn't have the myriad of colors that sunset shots do, yet you manage to capture the sky in a way that wasn't boring, which sky shots often are (since they have become so cliche). The ripples on the water are just right and the silhouette of the trees is perfect. I wish it was titled, but that's just a minor thing.
eautiful range of blues you have here. Including the purplish light filtering through the clouds.
Nice composition and framing of the clouds. The reflection of the sky is great except I wish the colors would have popped a little. more. I don't think it really matters if you ramped the saturation a little. Atleast I wouldn't care b/c in the end it's the final image that matters. -- w e b s i t e | IMDB me | BIGhollywood Looks really nice! The sun breaking through those clouds looks awesome! Really! And the lake is like a mirror!!
