Bethany and Mike Wedding 7

+ This next series of shots (aptly named "Bethany and Mike wedding") are from my first official wedding on my own. In past shots, I've acted as an assistant to Brian Adams ([link]). I'm always proud of those shots, of course, but there's something to be said about doing it on your own too. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the series and please feel free to offer me advice, criticism, praise...ya know, the usual.

+ *whew* And the seven image upload spree comes to an end. This shot was probably the most nerve wrenching out of any for the whole day. No, not because I was afraid I'd get bird seed in my lens or because I thought they'd run too fast. I just didn't think I'd get the shot. As in, I wouldn't have enough space on my CF cards. Or...I thought my batteries would die on me. That was a fun mindset to be in for the last hour of the wedding.

+ Long story short, I didn't really pace myself when it came to shots taken. Nor did I take into consideration the effect a 70-200 f/2.8 IS lens using AF would have on my batteries. But from that day on, I will. And no longer will I search franctically for that last charged battery or have to budget 10 shots for the last 20 minutes of the day. This was my first wedding and I've learned a lot from it. I'm always glad to share if you have any questions...so let me know.
